to the Stone-Circle Fire-pit on the Landfill @ North-Western University, in Evanston:

Take the purple line to Davis. When you exit the station, make a right on Bensen and then left on Davis. Walk down Davis to Hinman. Make a left on Hinman and walk until you reach Sheridan. The campus parking lot entrance is more or less right there. You have to cross Sheridan first, and it'll be to the right. Walk down the driveway past the parking structure on the right. You'll see the lake, and a bridge between a lagoon and the lake proper. Walk over the bridge and keep on the path with the lake to your direct right until you see the fire pit.
