When we “Gather the Women” we become a grassroots movement that calls women to stand together in solidarity to create a balanced world where feminine energy tempers the masculine
&
masculine energy powers the feminine. Creating a balanced society that works for all, begins by, recognizing the importance of achieving balance within each individual woman & man--where each individual is not only encouraged but expected to express the full spectrum of his or her emotional & intellectual capacity regardless of gender.
When we “Gather the Women” we are evoking at a profound level an experience of our own woman's worth to the world. As women we bring life forward. We are in touch with the cycles of life & we function in a context that is deeply relational with a thinking heart. We have the capacity to generate creative solutions that benefit all life on the planet.
When we “Gather the Women” we are creating a rich exchange of cultural values to dissolve the ties that bind us to the illusion that one segment of our human family can win while another loses. Together we women are contributing to a new collective wisdom & we are lending our strength to that which we wish to embrace. From this emerging balance is being born a new dimension of our humanity.
We, the Women of the World — The nurturers & caretakers of the family of Humanity,
do now & forever proclaim
our Divine Birthright:
To speak & act in the name of Universal Goodness; To stand united, individually & together,
in support of the One Truth that all life is sacred, & created in Love.
We, the Women of the World, do also hold that it is our destiny to live here on Earth in mutual cooperation & harmony with all our sisters, with personal courage, in respect & compassion for ourselves, & all others. We gather as One in our hearts & in our minds, in our homes, in our communities & in our world, to support the lifelong development of our highest ideals.
We nurture them, first & foremost, within our own hearts & minds, & then within a world that we know can only survive on the sum & substance of the collective wisdom of all its people, & the conscious, active expression, of our most deeply held universal values.
May our drums change the rhythm of the world, bringing peace & healing joy to all…
BLESSED BE…

When your soul awakens, you begin to truly inherit your life. You leave the kingdom of fake surfaces, repetitive talk & weary roles & slip deeper into the true adventure of who you are & who you are called to become.
The greatest friend of the soul is the unknown. Yet we are afraid of the unknown because it lies outside our vision & our control. We avoid it or quell it by filtering it through our protective barriers of domestication &control.
The 'normal' way never leads home.
Once you start to awaken, no one can ever claim you again for the old patterns. Now you realize how precious
your time here is. You are no longer willing to squander your essence on undertakings that do not nourish your
true self; your patience grows thin with tired talk & dead language. You see through the rosters of expectation which promise you false safety & the confirmation of your masked identity.
Now you are impatient for growth, willing to put yourself in the way of change.
You want your work to become an expression of your gift.
You want your relationship to voyage beyond the pallid frontiers to where the danger of transformation dwells.
You want your Goddess Self to be willing & wild
& to call you to where your destiny awaits...
see you there...

International Women's Day has its roots in the labour movements of the late 19th and early 20th century,
when women workers protested poor working conditions and low wages in the textile industry.
International Women's Day was first celebrated on March 8, 1911,
and had "Universal Female Suffrage" as its theme.
