Stirring in the cold winds of February, is the promise of spring. Can you feel the energy of the Earth...Quickening...? It is a subtle calling, nudging us to step out of the dark half of the year into to the light. Instinctively we begin preparing for growth & renewal, performing the ancient rituals of spring cleaning, purifying & anointing the body electric, awakening the spirit within. February 2^nd, one of the cross-quarter days in the wheel of the year, is called by some Candlemas, or Imbolc, the Celtic lambing season, which translates as “in the belly”. It is a time of spiritual re-dedication, of self blessing & initiation, of affirming & energizing creative work. A time of blessing the seeds & consecrating the garden tools; of calling forth & rekindling the sacred fires - ancient symbol of the forge, of becoming, of rebirth. It is the inspiration of poetry & manifestation. An invigoration that helps us heal ourselves & each other; that we may see our creativity become fertile. Enflaming us with the passion of our purpose, this is an opportunity to look within, past the cold clouds that block the sun, to remember the promise that ‘hope springs eternal’…You don’t have to have a green thumb to quicken your hopes into a living  reality... because if you tend them, with loving thoughts & actions...they will grow...to Be, the reality of your life...slowly...like the seed waiting, in the cold earth of February, to take root...blossom forth...give fruit...& become seed once more…Blessed Be…
