Kirtan is call and response devotional chant that is part of the path of
Devotional Yoga. Chant contains all the frequencies of the human voice spectrum,
but it is most focused in the rich overtones of higher frequencies of 2000 to
4000 hertz, which provide a healing energy to the human brain. This frequency
enables us to see our own beauty.
When we see the beauty of our own being we are seeing the beauty of the Being
that is the One of which we are all a part. And when we turn towards that One,
love is the natural reaction of the heart.
